Under the Weather?

Happy Saturday and thanks for stopping by!  Cathy here with a little project I created using Coffee Girl. I decided that her pretty pink cup could also be used as a tea cup, and put together a little care package for someone who is feeling "under the weather".

I dry embossed my Glassine Bag added a paper doily, made a tag and machine stitched it - tied it off with some baker's twine, cut a few fishtail banners, printed out the sentiment on my computer, cut out the cloud images, added a couple of buttons, and colored my image with Copics.

Before closing up the Glassine Bag, I added these tea bags that I diecut small tags and stapled them to the string that was already attached to the bag.  I handstamped them with the sentiment that you see.

Here is the watermarked image of "Coffee Girl" that can be found in Mabelle's shop.  Remember....instant download so you can get started on your own care package for someone feeling "under the weather"! :)

Amelie

Good morning! Angela here, with a fun little project I made using sweet Amelie! I was so excited when Mabelle asked me to be a guest designer this month, I just love all of her images they are such a delight to color!! I have had this little shadow box in my stash for quite some time with a project like this in mind, and I have to say I am really pleased with how it turned out!! Amelie can be found HERE in the store.
I was enjoying coloring so much I decided to make a card too, but using different colors. So Sweet!
Thank you again Mabelle, for inviting me to join in the fun this month!! I had a blast!

Hi all, MelissaO here sharing my latest creation.  Whimsy and Star Studio artist, Mabelle R.O., offers a huge variety of children images, and she also offers some floral images as well.  I'm starting to see sunflowers when driving through the countryside and they inspired me to create this card.

Rosie Ballerina

Happy Tuesday! It's Kathy posting here today. I've got a sweet little Whimsy and Stars card to share today using Rosie Ballerina. She's such a sweet a girly little image, perfect for all the little girl cards I seem to be in need of lately!

I've given the bear a bit of texture on her fur by dabbing the coloring softly with a wash rag dipped into Copic blender solution. A fun and easy trick they showed us in the first Copic certification class. Just make sure you color only the fur first, then do your texturing, then color the rest of the image. Otherwise you will get texture on the whole image, rather than just the fur.

Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you are having a wonderful day!

Card Recipe:
Image: Whimsy and Stars Rosie Ballerina
Ink: printer
Paper: copic xpress, PTI Aqua Mist and Raspberry Fizz, American Crafts print
Extras: copics, stickles, nesties, PTI buttons and ribbon, SU corner rounder, Trendy Twine in Strawberry Cupcake

Searching for Butterflies

I have had this darlin' digi and it's been waiting it's turn to be colored and made into a card.  "Searching" is another fabulous design from Whimsy and Stars Studio.  This so reminds me of being in school and researching insects and all that other flora and fauna.

Searching

I seem to be on a blue and orange kick lately, my digi is colored with Copics and highlighted with distress inks.  The butterflies insisted on flowers and I added a fence to make it look more "outdoorsy".

Thanks for visiting today!

This image reminds me of my youngest niece, who is a self-proclaimed "fashionista," and loves all things girly! She just started 1st grade on Friday and is having a birthday next month! I wanted to get a jump on making her card, and thought this image would be perfect for her!
