Sweet Arrival

Greetings everyone!  Today I am sharing my last card for the Whimsy and Stars Spring 2014 Design Team.  I have had a marvelous time designing with Mabelle's digis and working with all my design sisters.

Here is my card for today's post, which can be found in the Whimsy and Stars Studio Shop titled Sweet Arrival.  One of our sons is actually expecting his first child in August and we know it is going to be a boy!

Today it's a bittersweet day for us here in Whimsy and Stars Studio. This is the last week of our 2014 Spring Design Team term. It's hard to believe that Spring it's over. 

I'm so grateful to had the wonderful opportunity to work with such talented group of ladies during this season. It has been a true pleasure to work with each one of them.

Amelie to the Beach

Hi, everybody! Suzanne here with my last post on the Whimsy and Stars Studio blog for the Spring 2014 term! I chose "Amelie to the Beach" for today's card! I don't know if I'll get in any beach time this summer, but I hope that I do! 

A couple of notes about my card:

• To give the sand some texture, I added some Distress Stickles in Antique Linen after I colored. It gives a bit of texture without being super shiny like glitter would be. It's actually my go-to product for images that include sand!

• I matched the wood button to the colors in my card by covering it with matching washi tape and then poked holes through the tape so I could thread it with twine.

End of School Gift with Back to School image

Hi everyone, it's Kathy here today! Here on the East Coast our school year is wrapping up. My littles go until Friday and the bigs go until next Thursday. That means I need teacher gifts! This Back to School image has always been one of my favorite Whimsy and Stars images. I've paired him up with an apple shaped box. I will fill it with some chocolate and a gift card for one of the teachers, probably Finn's preschool teacher. The apple was cut on my Silhouette Cameo.

a mix of papers with similar colors.

Hi friends, it's Michele here today with a super sweet and fun image from Whimsy and Stars Studio - Floaty Girly. I LOVE HER FLOATY RING and I want one just as cute...maybe in a larger size though. :D

I made a super CAS card let Floaty Girly shine. Some bright and bold Doodlebug paper, a banner flag, some doodling and that's it! I coated Floaty Girly's ring with a thick coating of glossy accents. She's ready for a day at the pool...after she eats and sleeps...oh the life!
