Whimsy and Stars Studio Design Team Call

Hello dear Whimsy and Stars' friends!

Welcome to our
2014 Spring DT Call 

I'm having an open call for designers who wish to be considered for our 2014 Spring DT and Guest Designers.

I'm looking for some experienced and talented papercraft / cards designers to join our fabulous group of designers. This term will be from mid-March to the end of May 2014.

The call will be open until Saturday, March 15th, 2014. 

Requirements for the Design Team members:

1. Have a blog & be an active blogger
2. Able to commit to a 3-month term and be reliable with your scheduled postings.
3. Create 2-3 monthly cards using the Whimsy and Stars Studio digi designs. Our DT is a flexible one, you can post your monthly cards with flexibilty and selecting the dates that works best for you.
4. Share it with your group of friends. Enter your cards in challenges, hops and other avenues to promote Whimsy and Stars. Post your card on the Splitcoaststampers Gallery, Facebook, Crafters Digital Art Center or any other stamping community forums. 
5. Have the ability to take good photography with good lighting and styling.
6. Good coloring technique a must.

Benefits:

1. You will receive the latest released digi designs from the Whimsy and Stars Studio store and have access to existing digi stamps for your card creations.
2. Your name and blog will be posted and promoted on the Whimsy and Stars blog and Facebook and posts will be also promoted on Twitter.
3. You will receive a Whimsy and Stars Studio DT badge for your blog.
4. You will also receive special sneak peeks of new digi releases before its announce to the public
5. You will be part of a private Facebook group dedicated exclusively to our DT members and Guest Designers. This group page will give you access to images, blog schedules and events. Providing a constant flow of communication between our designers.

This call is open worldwide. International applicants are welcome!

• Send me a link to your blog. You can also send me a link to photos of your cards

Hi there! I wanted to post a quick note to let you know that I have been working on some new cute digi stamp designs for our Spring season. I can't hardly wait to show them to you.

I also have some exciting news...stay tuned because in a few weeks I will be hosting an open call for the new 2014 Spring Design Team (DT) & monthly Guest Designers. So start getting those cute cards ready....If you are interested in been part of our creative team, I would love to see your creations! You are welcome to spread the word :) too.

Also, I'm so happy to let you know that we will continue to enjoy the works of past DT members and Guest Designers each month as I share with you past works from our archives as well as new projects they will be sharing with us.

A Special Thanks to my Fall 2013 DT & Guest Designers

Hello friends! I hope you are having a great week. I'm glad to be back online after taking a couple of weeks of winter break. Time to rest, enjoy extra time with my family and to work on new illustrations (re-charging my creative batteries). 

Looking back, 2013 was such a wonderful year for Whimsy and Stars Studio. I had the opportunity to work with some many wonderful designers, introduce new cute digi stamps and welcome so many wonderful fans like you to our Whimsy and Stars family! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for always been there for me and for loving my little stamp designs!

I want to take this opportunity to express my deepest gratitude to my talented 2013 Fall Design Team and Fall Guest Designers. These ladies are not only super talented but they are very dear friends. I'm forever grateful for all of their hard work and for making our Fall 2013 a fabulous season. They created so many gorgeous projects and cards, I hope you have an opportunity to revisit past blog posts and check their collection of work during this past Fall season.

Snowball Boy

Greetings!  I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and no one was caught on the "naughty list".  We are "hunkering" down now for colder weather, but alas no snow in sight anytime soon.  I could not resist making a "snowy" card.  My grandson turned 12 on the 27th and I always make him a masculine themed card for his birthday, so this card serves a dual purpose.

Hi everyone and Happy Saturday!  It's Audrey from the DT here with you today.  I can't believe Christmas is over, I hope everyone had a lovely holiday.  Wishing you a peaceful and blessed New Year as well:)   I’m so excited to share a new card I made using an adorable image from WHIMSY AND STARS STUDIO!!  I used this image called Snowball Boy.  I don't make a lot of boy/male cards, so I was really glad to find this image at WHIMSY AND STARS STUDIO SHOP which gave me the opportunity to do something boy related.

For my creation, using Snowball Boy image from WHIMSY AND STARS STUDIO SHOP, I colored this great image with Copics, cut out with scissors and added Stickles for trim and pom on the hat.  DP is Echo Park and CS is Bazzill.  Sentiment is from My Craft Spot and has been cut out with die from Verve and Bo Bunny brad added.  Snowflakes are from a new company I just discovered called Little B.  Ribbin is from Really Reasonable Ribbon and die cut set used is from Marianne Creatables.  Sure hope you like it!!
