Let's Dance

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to color Whimsy & Stars Studio images. They are so versitile and allow me to make a card for nearly any season or occasion. When I saw this image in the store, I knew I had to make a card with it-and it had to have Fall colors. (Boy am I craving Fall)! I love Fall here in Oregon-it's just stunning.

Available for immediate download

It is called Dancing Love

Here is the card I made using this adorable image:

I colored the clothing with ProMarkers and the skin and hair with Prisma penscils. I was able to get my Wood Grain embossing folder out of hiding and used it on the front panel of my card. The sentiment is stamped in white craft ink and I added a few colored pearls.

I hope you have a fabulous weekend and thanks for visiting Whimsy & Stars Studio today♥

Time for Coffee

Happy Friday! I hope you are having an awesome day♥  We've had a couple of overcast days here in Oregon and boy am I missing the sunshine. Clouds just seem to make me sleepy.

Today I'm here featuring an adorable image called Coffee Girl. Is she the cutest or what!? She is available for instant download in the Whimsy & Stars Studio Stamp Store.

I colored her with Prisma Pencils and used some gorgeous papers from the MME Up, Up & Away collection. Die cuts are from Spellbinders and the button, ribbon and pearls are all from Stampin' Up!

Have a blessed weekend♥

Blessed Harvest

My apologies this is getting posted so late in the day. Sometimes it's very hard to get good light here in the PNW (I see a light box in my future) and I'm not OK posting an average picture of Mabelle's gorgeous images.

I've really been excited for Fall to arrive. I'm excited for the crisp air and changing leaves. Oregon is a picture postcard year round, but the Fall is absolutely stunning. Hence the reason for my Fall inspired card today.

I chose the Blessed Harvest  image for my card and I just love it. I finally dug out some Fall/Halloween paper I'd been saving. I really wanted to make a fun card that focused on the image, so I chose to use muted greys with a bit of orange to go along with the pumpkins. I kept it neutral with twine and a brown button, added a small sentiment and a few rhinestones for some flair. This card layout was taken from page 73 of Cardmaker Summer 2013 magazine. All of the instructions and measurements are included (love this) and it came together very quick (love this more).

Remember all of the Whimsy & Stars Studio images are available for immediate download.

I hope you are having a blessed Sunday♥
