Pumpkin Tiny Girly
Fall is in the air around here. Crisper weather, cooler nights and I love it. It is my favorite time of year. A good time to make some fall cards, too. I've got a cute one here, using Pumpkin Tiny Girly from Whimsy and Stars Studio. Love this sweet little image, she was so much fun to color.
Don't forget to stop back on Tuesday for the Whimsy and Stars release. A fun new image will be available and we will be welcoming some new members to the DT. Some new faces, and some old friends coming back, such an exciting time!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!

It's Fall & Sketch Saturday Challenge Sponsor!
Happy Saturday!
Debra here...this is my first official post for Mabelle's Fall Design Team. Yay! I'm so glad to be returning to her awesome team.
Today's post is actually a joint post with Sketch Saturday. Whimsy & Stars Studios is the sponsor this week - Challenge #275!
If you are not familiar with Sketch Saturday, it's a challenge blog - there's a new sketch each week. All images are welcome to enter and have a chance to win - although wouldn't it be great to see lots of MRO images this week!?!
Mabelle is generously offering 4 MRO digis as the prize this week. :D The challenge winner is chosen at random.
Here is my sketch...Sketch #275:
My interpretation of the sketch:
Kendra agreed to be a guest designer this week at Sketch Saturday and here is her card. She used Acorn Squirrel.
Kathy is also a guest designer at Sketch Saturday this week and she used Ribbon Girl. Both are awesome cards - don't you think?!?

My interpretation of the sketch:
I recessed and embossed the center panal. To make the layered frame, I used my Cricut. I was thrilled to see "It's Fall" back in Mabelle's shop - one of my many favorites.
I
thought adding a woodgrain to the letters would be a great detail.
The image was printed twice. The letters were colored, then stamped with
a woodgrain background stamp. I cut the stamped
letters out and paper-pieced them on the fully colored image.
You
can use any image to enter a Sketch Saturday Challenge, but be sure to
use the sketch. Mabelle is offering 4 MRO digis as the prize this
week!
You have until Friday, Sept 13th at 1pm CT-US (8am UK) to enter the challenge. Hope you will join us!

Pretty Fall Sunflowers
Hi Friends! Kendra Wietstock here today with a "sunny hello"... I'm thrilled to be back on the Whimsy & Stars Studios team again for the Fall Term & can't wait to share the fun projects with Mabelle's beautiful images.
My card today uses the Sunflower Teapot Digital image. I colored my image with my Spectrum Noir Markers (colors listed below) and then paper pieced the teapot. As a little added touch, I added dark brown flock to the center of each sunflower.

Back to School!
I can't believe summer is "almost" over! When the yellow school buses start coming by my house early in the morning, I feel like it's a brand new season. I fell in love with this digi by Mabelle, "Back to School".
I just love the huge pencil and the happy look on that adorable face! I have one grandchild in kindergarten this year who was "bustin" at the seams to get started and then older grandchildren who were dreading the start of another school year.
Thanks for stopping by today! Whimsy and Stars has rubber stamps and digis that will suit your every need. We would love for you to visit the new blog and show us your creations on our Facebook page!

Back to School with Whimsy and Stars Studio
Good Morning and Happy September! I can hardly believe that we are into September, and all the children have returned or are returning to school! Where did the summer go?
Today, I have created a special treat using this cute little guy appropriately title - Back to School. I have found all of Mabelle's images so versatile. They can be used on cards, tags or little projects such as this one.
I started out by using an empty Crystal Light container. I covered it with a school themed paper, added paper fringe on the bottom, and some chalkboard ribbon to the top. Then it was time to play with my dies - notebook paper and star. I arranged them onto the tube so that my digital image would be the focal point. The digital image was hand colored with Copics and paper pieced. The finishing touches - wood embellishment, an acrylic school bus and some star pins. I filled the container with Hershey's Chocolate Kisses, but you could fill it with anything from crayons, erasers, etc. A fun little gift to give your little one for his first day back to school! :)
