It's Fall & Sketch Saturday Challenge Sponsor!

Debra here...this is my first official post for Mabelle's Fall Design Team.  Yay!  I'm so glad to be returning to her awesome team. 

Today's post is actually a joint post with Sketch Saturday.  Whimsy & Stars Studios is the sponsor this week - Challenge #275! 

If you are not familiar with Sketch Saturday, it's a challenge blog - there's a new sketch each week.  All images are welcome to enter and have a chance to win - although wouldn't it be great to see lots of MRO images this week!?!  

Mabelle is generously offering 4 MRO digis as the prize this week.  :D  The challenge winner is chosen at random. 

Here is my sketch...Sketch #275:

Kendra agreed to be a guest designer this week at Sketch Saturday and here is her card.  She used Acorn Squirrel. 

 

Kathy is also a guest designer at Sketch Saturday this week and she used Ribbon Girl.  Both are awesome cards - don't you think?!?

My interpretation of the sketch:

I recessed and embossed the center panal.  To make the layered frame, I used my Cricut.  I was thrilled to see "It's Fall" back in Mabelle's shop - one of my many favorites.

 

 

I thought adding a woodgrain to the letters would be a great detail.  

The image was printed twice.  The letters were colored, then stamped with a woodgrain background stamp.  I cut the stamped letters out and paper-pieced them on the fully colored image.

You can use any image to enter a Sketch Saturday Challenge, but be sure to use the sketch.  Mabelle is offering 4 MRO digis as the prize this week!
